Templar Crosses

While Rosslyn Chapel was a rather unknown tourist attraction in the Scottish village Roslin near Edinburgh, all of this changed after the publication of the book ’The Da Vinci Code’ by Dan Brown which turned Rosslyn Chapel into a real pilgrimage in the last few years. As long as the Holy Grail has not been recovered from the sealed crypt underneath the chapel, a real ‘treasure’ was revealed on ground radar scans, the rumours about the secrets that the chapel is supposed to hide will only increase. The Rosslyn Chapel Trust preserves the myth by not allowing the crypt to be opened. Ground radar scans made without the consent of the Rosslyn Chapel Trust have so far revealed a secret tunnel between the chapel and Rosslyn Castle.
The question however is if the Holy Grail that is supposed to be buried underneath Rosslyn Chapel is the chalice of the Last Supper, the Ark of the Covenant, or as some think Baphomet the head of John the Baptist? It is far more likely that the secret of Rosslyn Chapel concerns esoteric knowledge that was acquired by the Knights Templar during their crusades to Jerusalem and used in the design of churches, cathedrals and temples, possibly even this chapel.
According to scholars there is no clear documented connection between the Knights Templar and the founder of this chapel, the 3rd Earl of Orkney, Baron of Roslin, William Sinclair, however there are sufficient clues to suggest that such a connection must have existed. Officially the Sinclair’s were even present at the trial of the Knights Templar in Edinburgh in 1309 after pope Clement V had officially forbidden the Templar Order. This fact alone would contradict any supposed connections between the Sinclair family and the Knights Templar. In addition the first stone for the chapel was laid roughly 150 years after the abolishment of the Knights Templar.
It is a fact however that the chapel became a symbol of Scottish Freemasonry and that it has been a real pilgrimage for freemasons for centuries. In 1736 the 21st Baron of Rosslyn, co-incidentally also named William Sinclair, became the first Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. The foundation of this Lodge is supposed to be the start of Scottish freemasonry, however as we will demonstrate the architecture of the chapel itself contradicts this claim and the relation between the chapel and freemasonry must be much older.
The chapel has multiple aspects that reveal its descent from freemasonry and its connection to the Knights Templar. The single Latin inscription that can be found in the church is already reason enough to suspect such connections. The inscription carved in stone reads: ‘FORTE EST VINUM, FORTIOR EST REX, FORTIORES SUNT MULIERES: SUPER OMNIA VINCIT VERITAS’ (Wine is strong, a king is stronger, female are stronger still, but truth conquers everything). This Latin phrase connects Rosslyn Chapel to Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem, the temple where the Knights Templar supposedly discovered a big secret during their crusades. Zerrubbabel got permission from king Darius after winning a contest to rebuild the destroyed Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem and to lead the Jews from exile in Babylon back to Israel. Zerrubbabel won the winning price of Darius’s contest question ‘who or what was the strongest’. Zerrubbabel’s answered that the truth would conquer everything. As a reward he was allowed to rebuild the temple of Jerusalem. The winning answer to king Darius’s question is carved in stone in Rosslyn Chapel.
Also the depiction of two knights on a single horse that is displayed in Rosslyn Chapel is an image that can also be found in the official coat of arms of the Knights Templar.
A convincing clue that William Sinclair can be associated with the Knights Templar can be found on his grave in the chapel. The inscription on his grave reads: ‘William de St. Clair, Knight Templar’. Historians however point out that this statement is incorrect and that it is completely uncertain who of the many William Sinclair’s has been buried here.

What is far more interesting than this straight forward clue suggesting that William Sinclair was a Knight Templar, is the presence of an eight pointed cross on his grave stone. The official coat of arms of the Sinclair’s is a four pointed cross in a stitch pattern and it’s a well known fact that the Knights Templar used four and eight pointed crosses in their coat of arms (see the head of this article) as well.
We will demonstrate that these four and eight pointed crosses have a deep esoteric and astronomical significance that must be well known to the freemasons.

When the grave stone of William Sinclair is studied in detail we notice that besides the eight pointed cross there is also a four pointed cross depicted. The name of the founder of Rosslyn Chapel is spelled in Lombardic letters ‘Willhm de Sinncler’. It’s remarkable that the last two letters ER are set apart and are reversed in spelling. It reads RE. RE in the author’s opinion is a reference to Amen-Re or Amen-Ra, the Egyptian solar deity. It makes sense since Rosslyn Chapel is not just some ordinary chapel, it is a solar temple. Rosslyn Chapel was inaugurated in 1450 as the ‘Collegiate Church of St. Matthew’ on the fall equinox (21st September). The chapel is perfectly aligned to the cardinal directions similar to the ancient solar temples. Another conspicuous feature is that the depiction on the grave stone resembles a key. Could this depiction be the key to the secrets of Rosslyn Chapel?

At the east end of the chapel there are three very important pillars perfectly aligned to the East. These pillars are the Master Pillar, the Journeyman Pillar and the Apprentice Pillar. The authors Robert Lomas and Christopher Knight have shown that Rosslyn Chapel is a copy of Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem. They argue that the Master Pillar and the Apprentice Pillar correspond with the two pillars Boaz and Jachin that stood in front of Solomon’s Temple.
In ‘The Stone Puzzle of Rosslyn Chapel’ Philip Coppens describes the initiation rituals of the freemasons; The pillars in Rosslyn Chapel correspond with the three degrees in freemasonry. In the initiation rituals of the freemasons these pillars correspond with the solstices and equinoxes. The novice initiated into the ‘Entered Apprentice’ degree in freemasonry is placed in the Lodge near the pillar in the north east corner (Jachin). This pillar corresponds with the summer solstice. A freemason who is initiated into the ‘Fellow craft Mason’ degree is placed in the south east corner (Boaz) corresponding with the winter solstice. A freemason who is finally initiated into the Master Mason degree is placed in front of the middle pillar corresponding with the equinox. During the ritual the candidate dies but he’s eventually resurrected from his death. At the moment of his resurrection a light of a five pointed star is lit. This five pointed star is the brightest morning star according to Coppens.
I believe that this ritual concerns the ‘resurrection’ and ‘rebirth’ of the Sun. The sun dies each year on the cross of the zodiac during the winter solstice to be fully reborn on the spring equinox in the annual cycle. During the spring equinox the sun is fully raised from the death as it revives nature that starts to blossom again.
Not only does the sun die to be reborn in the annual cycle, it also dies and is reborn in the larger astronomical cycle called the precession of the equinoxes. This cycle takes 26.000 years to complete and is caused by the wobbling of the Earth axis causing the spring equinox to shift. We are presently living in the Age of Pisces but as a result of precession we will enter the Age of Aquarius in the near future.
The most important thing of the extraordinary time that we live in, is that the sun will be reborn in the precession cycle around the year 2012, to be more specific in between the years 1978-2017. Around this time the sun will reside on the Milky Way at the winter and summer solstices. It coincides with the ending of the Maya calendar on December 21st 2012. The ending of the Maya calendar happens on the winter solstice when the sun aligns with the Milky Way. This event is regarded as the moment that the sun is reborn in the great cycle, the precession cycle.
In my opinion this extraordinary astrological event is symbolized by the initiation rituals in freemasonry. The pillar that is so important in freemasonry is a symbol of the Milky Way. When the Pillar of the Apprentice is studied we notice that at the base of the pillar eight snakes are sculptured. This pillar is associated with the World Tree that we find in many cultures around the world.
In the Nordic mythology the World Tree is called Yggdrassil and it had eight snakes curling around its roots.
The World Tree or Axis Mundi represented the cosmological centre in ancient times; it connects the Earth with the four cardinal directions as well as the heavens with the underworld. In the Maya culture the World Tree represents the Milky Way or Wakah Chan according to Mayanist Linda Schele. To be more precisely the Wakah Chan is the crossing of the Milky Way and the ecliptic, the virtual track of the sun around the Earth. This cross point is exactly the place where the sun resides on the Milky Way on the winter solstice of 2012.
The initiation rituals of freemasonry where the candidates are placed near the pillars of the Lodge are associations with the solstices and equinoxes, they symbolise the astronomical alignment of the sun (candidate freemason) with the Milky Way (pillar). The pillar represents the World Tree or the crossing of the ecliptic and the Milky Way. The alignment of the sun with the Milky Way on an equinox or solstice is called a Great Celestial Conjunction (Smelyakov/Wicherink 2006). There are exactly four such conjunctions in a precession cycle of 26.000 years. Around 2012 this conjunction takes place again after 6480 years.
The initiation ritual of the Master Mason whereby the candidate is placed near the equinox (Journeyman Pillar) with the five pointed star that rises as the morning star, is I believe a astronomical reference to the start date of the construction of Rosslyn Chapel. The construction of Rosslyn Chapel started at ‘St. Matthew’s Day’ on the fall equinox of 1446. The ‘brightest five pointed star’ is no doubt a reference to Venus. Venus traces a pentagram (a five pointed star) along the zodiac in her conjunctions with the Earth and is the brightest morning star in the sky. At dawn on the day of the start of the construction of Rosslyn Chapel, Venus rose as a morning star. In addition there was a conjuncture of Venus and Regulus, the brightest star of Leo.
Regulus is one of the four royal stars Aldebaran, Regulus, Antares and Formalhaut. These four stars belong to the constellations Taurus (Aldebaran), Leo (Regulus), Scorpio (Antares) and Southern Fishes (Formalhaut). Southern Fishes is the equivalent of Aquarius since it opposes Aquarius on the ecliptic. It is these four signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius that form the ‘Galactic Cross’ in ancient times. We will further discuss the importance of the ‘Galactic Cross’ in the context of this article below.

Venus rises as the morning star in conjuncture with Regulus
Rosslyn Chapel creates an atmosphere of a garden or forest due to the abundant sculptures of leaves, flowers and plants. The association of the three pillars with the World Tree is therefore very appropriate. A noticeable presence in the Chapel is the so called Green Man. From his mouth branches and leaves are growing. There are over a 100 of these sculptures in the chapel in Roslin.
The Green Man symbolizes regeneration in nature and the blossoming of life during spring. It therefore also symbolizes resurrection and rebirth and as such can be associated with the rebirth of the sun. It’s a remarkable fact that the Green Man in Rosslyn Chapel forms another eight pointed cross.
Because the Green Man was also found in 11th century Templar churches in Jerusalem we find another clue that the architecture of Rosslyn Chapel may have been strongly influenced by the Knights Templar.
The Green Man
The highest degree in English freemasonry is called the Royal Arch. It is a higher degree than the Master Mason degree. Freemasons of the Royal Arch are initiated into the deepest secrets of freemasonry. These secrets are conveyed by the so called Tracing Board. The Tracing Board of the Royal Arch shows the two pillars of Solomon’s Temple Boaz and Jachin with on top op these pillars the Royal Arch.
The two pillars in front of Solomon’s Temple are most likely copies of the ancient Egyptian temples dedicated to the Aten (solar disk). One or more pylons (entrance gates) were situated at the entrance of the temple. These pylons in the temples of the Aten consisted of sets of pillars symbolizing the two mountains of the horizon, the Akhet in between which the sun rose.
Notice that in the Tracing Board underneath the arch of the Royal Arch there’s not only an eight pointed cross, but a four pointed cross as well.

What can be so important about an arch in between two pillars such that it represents the highest degree in freemasonry? Let’s have a look at the pillars of Rosslyn Chapel, the pillars of the Apprentice, Fellow Craft and Master Mason.
Below we see a drawing of the three pillars and their arches.
What is prominent is that the east side of the pillars the arches consist of eight pointed crosses, while on the west side we notice the four pointed crosses with the stitch pattern. These last four pointed crosses resemble the coat of arms of the Sinclair’s!

What can be the meaning of these four and eight pointed crosses (Green Man, gravestone of William Sinclair) that we find in abundance in Rosslyn Chapel and why were they also used by the Knights Templar? Why do the freemasons attach so much importance to these arches and why is their highest degree in freemasonry called the Royal Arch? Why do we find the four and eight pointed crosses in the arches of the three most important pillars at Rosslyn Chapel?

The explanation can be found in the astrological alignment of two astronomical crosses. The zodiac has two different crosses. When both crosses are superimposed, an eight pointed cross is formed. When both these crosses overlap to form a single four pointed cross this event is called a Great Celestial Conjunction.
The first cross is the cross formed by the equinox and solstice axis. The four signs of the zodiac that belong to the equinoxes and solstices are Aries (March 21st, spring), Cancer (June 21st, summer), Libra (September 21st, fall) and Capricorn (December 21st, winter) in the tropical zodiac.
In the Tracing Board of the Royal Arch, three of these zodiac signs are depicted on the arch. On the left pillar Aries is depicted, in the centre at the so called keystone Cancer is depicted and finally on the right pillar Libra is depicted. This explains why the pillars in freemasonry correspond with the equinoxes and solstices.
Under the Royal Arch of the Tracing Board, we notice a shield with a four pointed cross. In the four quadrants of this shield, the zodiac signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius can be found. These four so called fixed signs form a fixed cross in the zodiac. The importance of these signs is that they can be associated with the crossing of the ecliptic and the Milky Way.
The axis connecting 5° Gemini with 5° Sagittarius corresponds with the galactic equator and forms the axis of the galactic cross. 5° Gemini and 5° Sagittarius are the places where the ecliptic and the Milky Way intersect in the zodiac.
In ancient times the galactic cross was denoted by the zodiac signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius instead of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces which would have been more logical since the latter signs are the signs of the galactic cross. The reason is that only the former and not the latter signs are visible shortly before sunrise during a Great Celestial Conjunction on the equinoxes and solstices.
The importance of our present time is that the two crosses of the zodiac (galactic cross and equinox-solstice axis cross) that formed an eight pointed cross in the last 6480 years, now in the timeframe around 2012 merge to form a single four pointed cross again. This happens in between the years 1978-2017. After 2017 the two crosses separate again for the next 6480 years to form an eight pointed cross again.

The merger of the two crosses in the zodiac corresponds with the alignment of the sun with the Milky Way at the winter solstice in the period 1978-2017 also called the Galactic Alignment (John Major Jenkins). This moment signals the start of a new cycle in the precession cycle and this event I believe is expressed in the freemasonry initiation rituals when the candidate freemason (Sun) is placed in front of the pillar (Milky Way).
This knowledge of the merger of the two crosses must be the deepest secret of freemasonry and it is preserved by the Royal Arch. Jeff Nisbet in ‘Forbidden Religion’ explains that one of the Templars who was arrested on October 13, 1307 explained during his interrogation that in the initiation rituals of the Order the candidate was shown the Christian Cross and was told ‘Put not thy faith in this, for it is not old enough’.
And indeed it seems that the knowledge of this cross predates Christianity and can be traced back to Solomon’s Temple. In front of Solomon’s Temple two pillars were standing called Boaz and Jachin. In the holiest of holiest in the inner sanctuary of the temple the Ark of the Covenant was stored and it was guarded by two Cherubims.
Babylonian Cherubim
A Cherubim is a hybrid of a human and animals. We recognise the four zodiac signs that can be associated with the galactic cross in the animals of the Cherubim. The Cherubim has the head of a human (Aquarius), the body of a bull (Taurus), the back and tail of a lion (Leo) and the wings of an eagle (Scorpio or Aquilla). The zodiac sign of Scorpio is often replaced by the sign of the eagle (Aquilla).
In ancient Assyria the Cherubim was called a Karibu and it guarded the Tree of Life or the World Tree. Here we find a direct link with the Milky Way or better the crossing of the ecliptic and the Milky Way again, the galactic cross. In ancient Egypt we find the Cherubim in the form of Sphinxes that guarded the temples.
Finally the writers Tim Wallace Murphy and Marilyn Hopkins argue in their book ‘Rosslyn’ that Rosslyn Chapel is the destination of a pilgrimage route from Santiago de Compostella leading along French cathedrals including the cathedral of Toulouse, Orléans, Chartres, Notre Dame de Paris and Amiens. As we have been demonstrating in our research also the Chartres cathedral that has been built with the aid of the Knights Templar contains the same esoteric knowledge about the Great Celestial Conjunction around 2012. Compostella means campus stellea (field of stars) and as such can be associated with the Milky Way. I therefore believe that the pilgrimage symbolizes a journey along the Milky Way with the solar temple Rosslyn Chapel as its destination.
It seems that the Knights Templar discovered this rare event in the precession cycle that was of great importance to the ancients and is also known to the indigenous American Indians. According to the Maya this astronomical event taking place on the 21st of December 2012 signals the end of one era and the start of another, it heralds a new World Age.
I believe that the four and eight pointed crosses form the true ‘Da Vinci Code’ of Rosslyn Chapel; it reveals secret knowledge about the Great Celestial Conjunction that must have been known to the Knights Templar and the secret brotherhoods that originated from them like the English freemasons.

3. One bit of trivia is that King Solomon’s favorite temple was built by special demon technology, which Solomon controlled with a magic ring.
The story starts with a spirit or Jinni (where we get the word “Genie”). In one version, he was stealing gemstones because they allowed him to suck out a little bit of the sun’s energy; in another version, he was drinking the blood of a boy Solomon liked (root of the vampire legend starts here??)
Solomon then prayed fervently to God to deliver the wicked spirit into his hands for punishment. At once his prayer was answered. The archangel Michael appeared before the

Other sources describe the ring as made of pure gold, set with a single shamir stone; a diamond perhaps, or the same heavenly green shamir stone said to have been part of the Temple. The stone was cut and set in the form of an eight-rayed star. On it was engraved the hexagon seal, and within that the four letters of the ineffable name of God.
And so, Solomon burned the seal into the neck of Ornias as a brand of his sovereignty, and the Jinni from that moment did his bidding, and was given the task of cutting stones for the building of the Temple. Ornias is made to take the ring and brand Beelzebul (ruler of demons, was once highest angel in heaven = Satan). Solomon now controls ALL the demons.
Stone cutting technology?
God helped Moses by introducing him to a Shamir, a magical little worm that could cut stones with its glance. The demons did not know the whereabouts of any Shamir, but they suggested contacting their king, Asmodeus (another name for Satan).
In any version of the story, Solomon’s magic ring gave him powers over the fallen angels/demons, who had access to a stone cutting technology that enabled Solomon’s great temple to be built. This is important because in Jewish tradition, metal-working and using metal to brace the stones was forbidden; only stones could be used, except normal humans didn’t know how to make them! These myths suggest that the people reacting to Solomon’s temple said to themselves, gee – cutting and moving giant stones like that seems impossible, it must have been demons (such a tradition would never have arisen if the king depended on normal methods and mass human labor).
It is also interesting that they are described as magical little worms – if an ancient person saw stone cutting being done with laser or electricity, they might describe it in this away. In the larger discussion of who built the megalithic structures built all around the world during this time period (1000BC and prior) this may be evidence of some other race of humans or beings that had higher technology (that such a race existed is mentioned over and over again in world literature, including the Bible, which frequently describes the race of giants that had lived in the area before them, which were hybrids made from the “fallen angels” that mated with humans. Who these beings really were is uncertain… but assuming that they never existed is problematic.
The Ammonite king was furious, but nothing would persuade Naamah to part from Solomon. In the end the Ammonite king banished the couple to faraway, desert-like dunes. They wandered there for a long time, hungry and miserable, but finally reached a city not far from the sea. With the little money they had with them, Naamah bought a fish for their dinner. She opened the fish to clean it, and inside was a ring. Solomon looked at the ring, transfixed. This was his own protective magic ring, the one taken from him by Asmodeus. The demon obviously decided to throw it into the sea to get rid of it!
Solomon put the ring on his finger, and transported himself and his wife to Jerusalem, where Asmodeus masqueraded as the king for all these years. Wearing the magic ring, he faced the demon and commanded him to assume his true form and leave the palace. Asmodeus had no power to resist the ring, fled the palace, and Solomon returned to his former throne. But not without a price. The sight of Asmodeus in his true form was so incredibly hideous, that the king was terrified by nightmares for the rest of his life, and required his guard to watch his room every night. He also had to make himself known to his new father-in-law, the Ammonite king, which involved an unpleasant trial for the unjust banishing of the “cook” and his wife.

The purpose of this study, with chart for illustration is to highlight a key celestial occurrence in the Heavens called the Star of David planetary alignment. The focus of the timeline presented will be from the most recent occurrences in our modern time. Starting from 1990 to 2013, these peculiar planetary alignments seem to be clustered. In particular, since 1990, there are 13 Star of David configurations that occur. The 13th occurrence is the ‘last one’ leading up to the Tetrad of 2014-2015.
After 2013, there will not be another such configuration of either a Tetrad or Star of David alignment for another 100 years or so. The Star of David alignments appears to follow a ‘countdown’ sequence or frequency of sorts. It very much appears to be like the Total Solar Eclipses that occurred consecutively on the 1st of Av in 2008, 2009 & 2010. Those 3 consecutive Eclipses appeared to signal the ‘countdown’ to the start of the 7-Year Solar-Lunar pattern.
It appears that this same principle or ‘astronomical law’ is at work here with the Star of David alignment pattern & symmetry. The pattern likewise suggests a sort of a ‘cosmic countdown’ perhaps is highlighting the Tetrad of 2014-15. As to who or what event the countdown is specifically referring to, that will remain to be seen.
Perhaps these Star of David ‘signs’ in the Heavens could it be a countdown to the Rapture, the New World Order, the rise of the AntiChrist, World War 3 or a combination of all the above & more. For the purposes of this study, only a better understanding of the Star of David’s numerology & patterns will be presented & considered.
Nonetheless, students of Biblical Prophecy can tell you though, that Biblical Scripture is very clear as to what is coming specifically in the Last Days: the Rapture, sudden destruction, chaos, antichrist, war, disease, death, Return of Jesus Christ, etc.

Una cosa es la Astronomía y otra cosa es la Astrología. Una cosa es el Espacio y otra la Mente humana astrológica. Una cosa son las constelaciones zodiacales formadas por estrellas que flotan en el espacio, y otra cosa... son los signos astrológicos y su mapa que está en la memoria humana. Casa signo astrológico dura 1 mes, pero son periodos que no coinciden con el ancho de las constelaciones zodiacales. El punto de referencia para ver la cuestión es el EQUINOCCIO del 21 de marzo mirando hacia el Sol, pues al otro lado del Sol, en la franja verde de signos astrológicos, el sol aparece al comienzo del signo de Piscis (no Acuario), y en la franja azul de constelaciones aparece al final de la constelación de Piscis. 2) ¿Vos me decis que Orion va a estar el 19 de Junio y 19 de diciembre" al comienzo de la ERA DE ACUARIO?Viendo desde la Tierra, la constelación de Orión está bajo las constelaciones (no "eras") de Tauro y Géminis.  
¿Justo alli termina el CICLO DE PRECESION DE 25920 años?Ese punto, en el momento del solsticio, sería la mitad del ciclo. El otro solsticio, al otro lado de la órbita, el 21 de diciembre, se produce con la Tierra justo al otro lado del Ecuador de la Galaxia, o sea que vemos al Sol en el Ecuador de la Galaxia. Son estrellas que están a muy diferentes distancias unas de otras: Sirio a 8 años luz, y la estrella más lejana de Orión a casi mil años luz. Desde la Tierra llaman la atención porque las PLÉYADES, la estrella ALDEBARÁN (en las HYADES), la constelación de ORIÓN y la estrella SIRIO se ven prácticamente en línea, y esa línea es una buena referencia. Para mí el valor "científico" sería el de usar esa línea celeste para observar y conocer y comprender la inclinación del planeta, sus movimientos y su órbita, para tener consciencia de su "postura" en el centro de la esfera celeste. Y Orión está en el ecuador de la esfera celeste y detrás del Sol(Sistema solar) respecto al centro de la galaxia. Esta es una foto que hice el día 25 de agosto a las seis y media de la mañana, en Madrid.

There is a gate in heaven. One day, heaven will extend through this gate unto earth. There is a gate on earth. On that day this gate will receive the extension of heaven. Both of these gates are known respectively as golden gates.
The golden gate on earth was located in the eastern wall of the temple mount in Jerusalem. It was located where an east-west ley line that extended from the Holy of Holies to Elijah’s Hill in Sion beyond the Jordan intersected the wall. Historians write that the doors to this gate in the Herodian temple were covered with Corinthian Bronze, an alloy of copper, silver and gold. Due to its unique luster, especially in the sunlight of dawn or eventide, Corinthian Bronze was considered more valuable than gold itself. In the ancient world, gold represented the gods, silver represented men and copper represented judgment. In the East, the elders sat at the town gate making decisions and pronouncing judgments.
Before this gate was termed as the Golden Gate it was known as the Temple Gate Beautiful throughout antiquity. (Acts 3:2) In the fourth century, Jerome chose to translate the Greek word horaios, meaning beautiful, with the Latin word aurea, meaning gold, for the Latin Vulgate. His reasons for doing so are uncertain, however, when the figurative significance of Corinthian Bronze is considered, his reasons may not be far from the mark.
According to scriptural prophecy, the Lord Jesus Christ and his glory shall enter the temple mount by way of this eastern gate.

Christ, as the former context of Ezekiel reveals, first projects himself in fiery judgment upon the sin of Adam, then, as the Lord himself, proceeds in the mercies and blessings of the first resurrection for all who have believed. The purifying ashes of the red heifer represent this judgment. These ashes were kept in the gatehouse of the Beautiful gate. As such these ashes of the red heifer were sprinkled for symbolic purification on those who had come into the presence of a dead body before they were allowed through the Beautiful temple gate to the temple mount. The apostle Paul in his revelation states that the body is dead because of the inherited sin of Adam. (Rom. 8:10) So now, man will only become purified in resurrection for his true entrance first through his own ashes. 1: The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

3: To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. Isaiah 61
The word beauty here in Isaiah literally means a headdress in the Hebrew language. In the Eastern culture both the bride and the groom wore simple head dressings that denoted the groom’s family identity by tribe and clan. They represented the assumed glory of the union. Accordingly, these wedding headdresses were prized family possessions. They were subsequently worn in public only on the most notable family occasions.
The word beautiful in the phrase “gate of the temple which is called Beautiful” in Acts 3:2 is the Greek word horaios. According to lexicon definitions by Lindell, Scott, Jones and Thayer this word applies to persons and things. It means in due season especially harvest time. It does not necessarily imply beauty but does imply appropriateness in time. (Secularly, in some instances it was used of a young man or young woman who had come to a marriageable age.) Perhaps the lame man laid daily at the Beautiful temple gate in the third chapter of Acts was there waiting for what he knew would be an appropriate location and possible time for him to be made whole - the coming of his Messiah for his resurrection into perfection. This view would be fitting with the scriptures on the subject and with the Arabic name for the gate -The Gate of Eternal Life
In the ancient east the names of temple gates were significant as were the gates believed to lead into and out of heaven. The primary gate of heaven was known as the golden gate. From it, the gods ascended and descended. This gate has been written of from antiquity to modern times.
The Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh, written several centuries after the worldwide flood, contained the first reference to this gate. After the death of his beloved companion Enkidu, Gilgamesh searched for answers about how to obtain eternal life from his ancestor Noah who resided in the center of the heavens with the gods. After Gilgamesh crossed the celestial sea he came to the gate in the Mountain of the Sun guarded by scorpion men. This gate opened to a passage that led to a paradisiacal land in which there was another sea with a central island where Noah dwelt. This epic was far reaching in that day and time. It was translated into Akkadian, Elamite, and Hittite. It was also adapted and presented as plays. This epic endured in Near Eastern cultures for over a millennium.
In a similar fashion the second millennium BC Egyptian Book of Gates places Ra, the sun god, in a celestial boat passing through successive guarded gates and passages filled with flames to emerge in the waters of Nu represented by a circle or disk in the sky. Ra then entered the boat of the gods that moved to a central island represented by the circular body of Osiris.
This belief in a gateway to and from heaven has been universally maintained through out the ages in the writings of poets, philosophers, priests, prophets, monks, magi and mystics. It has also been recorded in the symbols of kings and emperors like the imperial seal of Cyrus the Great and the labarum of Constantine. Even today one of the more popular songs is entitled, Knocking on Heaven’s Door and a common figurative expression is the pearly gates referring the entrance to heaven.
Where then is this gate in heaven located? It is located at one of the two points where the two great celestial circles appear to intersect. The first great circle is that of the zodiac. This is the circuit on which the sun proceeds through the heavens during its annual cycle. It is named the ecliptic. The other is the circle of the Milky Way or circle of our galaxy. Its center line is named the galactic equator.
The intersection of the circles between Taurus and Gemini is known as the silver gate of heaven. The intersection of these two circles between Scorpio and Sagittarius is known as the golden gate of heaven. The galactic center lies visually from our solar system along a line that passes through the golden gate.
The ancient celestial signs surrounding the golden gate are revealing.
Ophiuchus is above the golden gate of heaven. He is holding down the malevolent serpent. Jupiter, the king planet, made a unique retrograde motion under the feet of Ophiuchus in 2007. During the Hebrew Feast of Unleavened Bread, the planet visually stopped under the foot of Ophiuchus just beyond the golden gate of heaven. Then on the winter solstice of 2007, Jupiter proceeded to be uniquely in the golden gate of heaven.
Ara, the altar of fire, is below the golden gate. It was commonly know as the golden altar of heaven. In the upper left is Aquila represented dually as a descending eagle/man. In the lower right is Lupus the victim slain or the body of the dead dog. To the center right is Libra, the balances of judgment. And to the left is Sagittarius. Sagittarius was known in the earliest cultures as the place of the mighty ones. The arrow of Sagittarius is pointed at the “opposing” bright star Antares across the golden gate in Scorpio. The glowing galactic center is located far beyond the golden gate.
The Milky Way or galactic circle is present, as are stars and planets, during the daylight hours. However, the light from the sun washes out all these other lights during the daytime. In the East the Magi and other celestial observers noted the position of the sun in the zodiac on a daily basis by observing the stars present just before sunrise.
Because the earth circles the sun, the backdrop of the galactic circle and the stars changes a bit daily. In the course of one year the sun will visually travel clockwise about 1 degree per day around the ecliptic through all twelve constellations of the zodiac and be in nearly the same location on the day ending that year.
From year to year the slight difference in the sun’s location on a given day is imperceptible to human sight. However, if the location on that given day is observed for centuries the difference becomes apparent. For example, on the winter solstice, the proposed day of Jesus’ conception, baptism and transfiguration, in 4004 BC at the creation of man, according to E. W. Bullinger’s chronology, the sun was located above the star Nashira in the east of Capricorn. In the flood year of 2248 BC the sun was located in the west of Capricorn on the winter solstice. In the year when Jesus was crucified in 28 AD the sun was located between Capricorn and Sagittarius on the winter solstice. (Celestron’s, The Sky) Now, in this season, the sun is passing across the golden gate of heaven on the winter solstice.
The movement is termed “procession” and is due to the slow and consistent movement of the earth’s axis as it circles like that of a very slow-motion wobbling top. One cycle in this wobble takes about 26,000 years. This motion causes the sun to move counter-clockwise around the zodiac 1 degree every 72 years.
The ancient cultures like those of the Egyptians and Babylonians were visually aware of this slight westward processional movement of the sun from its succeeding winter solstice positions. And they were aware of the future time period when the sun would cross over this golden gate of heaven on the winter solstice.
Could it be that the writers of the first century Christian document entitled the Didache – The Teaching of the Twelve were referring to this season of what is now called galactic alignment on the winter solstice when they wrote, “Then the signs of truth will appear: First, the sign of heaven opening”? The Greek word for opening means extension such as a sail on a boat unfurling in the wind.
The following is a translation of the last three verses of the Didachce by Ivan Lewis from extant Greek manuscripts with consideration given to the Coptic and Latin texts:
6) Then the signs of truth will appear: First, the sign of heaven opening. Then, the sign of the trumpet sounding. And third, the resurrection of the dead.
7) Yet, not of all, but as it is said: "The Judge will come, and all His angels."
8) Then the world will see the judgment coming on the clouds of heaven.
Modern scholars have noticed the similarity of words and phrases in the Didache with those of the gospel of Matthew. It appears that these final verses of the Didache were adapted from Jesus’ words in this section of Matthew chapter twenty-four:
27: For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28: For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29: Immediately after (meta-with) the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31: And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The fact that the sun crossing heaven’s golden gate on the winter solstice signaled the end of corrupted man’s tenure on earth was fairly common knowledge in the ancient East. Corresponding evidence also suggests that they knew that corrupted man’s tenure would end about 6,000 years after the “fall” of Adam.
The fourth century BC Greek historian Theopompus of Chios reported that, according to the Zurvanian Magi, for three thousand years alternately the one god will dominate the other god and be dominated, and that for another three thousand years they will fight and make war, until one smashes up the domain of the other. (Plutarch, Isis and Osiris 46; tr. J. Gwyn Griffiths) Both the Judean Zohar and the Talmud Sanhedrin state that human history would last six millennia. (Zohar Chadash 16b; Talmud Sanhedrin 38b) The Samaritans were a conglomeration of former Assyrian captives who were used to repopulate the northern kingdom of Israel after the Assyrian conquerors dispersed the native Hebrews in the seventh century BC. The Samaritans believed that 6,000 years after the “fall” of Adam a Restorer would arise for a time before a subsequent time of judgment headed by Moses. (Holman Bible Dictionary, p 1436)
The Easterners are known as the fathers of astronomy. Today there are cuneiform clay tablets scattered under and over sands of the Middle East. Many of these tablets contain precise records of the positions of the stars, sun, moon, and planets on a particular day thousands of years ago. These Easterners are also known as the fathers of complex mathematics in association with celestial mechanics. With these two advanced skills, their more proximate knowledge of the creation date, and their belief in a 6,000 tenure for corrupted man, they could easily calculate the position of the sun in the golden gate on the winter solstice during these days, even if their fathers were not at first informed of it by the patriarch Noah.

The precession of the equinoxes refers to the observable phenomena of the rotation of the heavens, a cycle which spans a period of (approximately) 25,920 years, over which time the constellations appear to slowly rotate around the earth, taking turns at rising behind the rising sun on the vernal equinox.
This remarkable cycle is due to a synchronicity between the speed of the earth's rotation around the sun, and the speed of rotation of our galaxy.

The Precession of the equinoxes = 25,920 yrs = (360° rotation)
If the sky is divided into 12 constellations:
(25,920 / 12 = 2,160)
(Note: 6 x 10 x 6 = 360 and 360 x 6 = 2,160)
A New sign appears on the horizon each 2,160 yrs (30°)
Note: (2 x 2,160 or 12 x 360 = 4,320 yrs)
Therefore to move 1° on the horizon = 72 yrs. (approx). |
The following numbers can therefore be regarded as precessionary:
(12 ... 30 ... 72 ... 360 ... 2,160 ... 4,320 and 25,920)
It is now suggested that at some point in the distant past this cycle was determined by astronomers (A process requiring the prolonged and precise observation of the equinoxial conjunction of the rising sun and the 'suns carrier' behind). Such a discovery goes a long way to understanding the prehistoric fascination with astronomy and the apparent 'will to move mountains' exhibited by the builders of many megalithic monuments. Lockyer observed that prehistoric astronomy was started on the horizon, which would go a long way towards explaining the early development of the English structures called 'Henges', with their built-up banks creating excellent artificial horizons.
The Precessionary cycle is measured in 'months' named according to the constellation visible behind the vernal equinox sunrise. We are presently finishing the 'age of Pisces' and will be soon entering the 'age of Aquarius'. It is suggested (and supported by a growing weight of evidence), that this cycle was recognised at least as far back as the age of Taurus, although there are suggestions of recognition as far back as Leo (as represented by the Sphinx at Giza).

Precession can also be measured through the tilt' of the earths axis, which causes the polar position in the sky to change, with a revolution of the earths axis around the true 'celestial pole' taking the same length of time, as the following diagrams illustrate.
Where the blue circle in the diagram (right), represents the path of the pole in the northern hemisphere over a complete cycle.
The following examples illustrate how the knowledge of 'the great cycle' was stored around the ancient world.
Although there is no written testimony of a recognition of precession before the Greeks, it is clear from Greek testimony (such as from Aristotle), that Egyptian and Babylonian sciences were shrouded in mystery and only available to the 'initiated'. However, this lack of written evidence by no means precludes such knowledge from being understood, as the numbers that represent the precessionary cycle (see above), can be found in the dimensions of 'sacred' structures and mythologies from around the ancient world as the following examples illustrate.
Turkey - (See Metsamor). First recorded division of the sky into 12 equal parts. Metsamor was identified by Livvio Stecchini as an ancient oracle centre. It lies at the foot of Mount Ararat, and archaeology has shown that the area was home to a sophisticated culture that was present in Anatolia from c. 6,000 BC.
Sumeria - Gudea, a ruler of ‘Lagash’, of Sumeria, recorded that he was given instructions in a vision. “A wise man that shone like the heaven,“ by whose side stood “a divine bird,” “commanded me to build this temple”. Gudea employed a male ‘diviner, maker of decisions’, and a female ‘searcher of secrets’ to locate the site. He then recruited 216,000 people for the job. (23).
Babylon - The Babylonian historian Berossus (third century BC) ascribed a total reign of 432,000 years (120 shar’s of 3,600 yrs each), to the mythical Kings who ruled the land of Sumer before the flood. He also ascribed a period of 2,160,000 years to the period ‘between creation and universal catastrophe’. (21)
The King-List known as W-B/144, records the following:-
‘when kingship was lowered from heaven, kingship was first in Eridu’
The following lengths of time were given for each ruler:-

The Sumerian text W-B/62, adds Larsa and its two divine rulers to the King-List, also multiples of 3,600. (23).
We can be fairly sure that the Sumerians were aware of the cycle, as we can see from the table above that it offers a natural division of both time and space into 360°, from units of 6 and 10. The Sumerians are the earliest culture to measure both time and space in units of 6 and 10. A system called the Hexi-decimal system.
Remarkably, time and space are still measured today by the same units of measurement. For example, we can see the year divided by 12 months, with each day being divided by 24 hours, each one divisible by 60 minutes, and each minute by a further 60 seconds. Similarly, the earth is divided by 360 degrees, each degree being divisible by 60 'minutes and each minute by a further 60 'seconds' of an arc.
China - Early Jesuit scholars, who were among the first Europeans to visit China had the opportunity in the imperial library, to study a vast work consisting of 4,320 volumes, said to have been handed down from ancient times and to contain ‘all knowledge’. This great book included a number of traditions which told of the consequences that followed when mankind rebelled against the high gods and the system of the universe fell into disorder’: ‘The planets altered their courses. The sky sank lower towards the north. The Sun, moon and stars changed their motions. The earth fell to pieces and the waters in its bosom rushed upwards with violence and overflowed the earth’.
